Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, has officially announced the commencement of its admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session. The institution is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its National Diploma (ND) Regular 1, Regular 2, Higher National Diploma (HND), and Weekend Programmes.
According to the Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council, Mr. Efedi Chukwuemeke, the polytechnic offers a wide range of academic programs across three major schools: Applied Sciences & Technology, Business Studies, and Engineering.
Programs Available for National Diploma (ND) Regular I & II Include:
School of Applied Sciences & Technology: Offers courses such as Computer Science, Statistics, Science Laboratory Technology, Food Science Technology, and Library & Information Science.
School of Business Studies: Programs include Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Mass Communication, and Office Technology Management.
School of Engineering: Courses range from Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Welding & Fabrication, Mechanical and Civil Engineering to emerging fields like Chemical Engineering and Power Plant Technology.
HND Regular Programmes:
Applicants can pursue Higher National Diplomas in fields like Accountancy, Mass Communication (with broadcast and print options), Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Protection, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, and more.
Entry Requirements:
For the ND Programme, candidates must possess at least five credits in relevant O’Level subjects including English and Mathematics in not more than two sittings. Candidates must also have sat for the 2025 UTME and scored at least 100.
For the HND Programme, applicants must hold a National Diploma (ND) from a recognized institution with at least a Lower Credit and a one-year post-ND industrial training experience. Those with pass grades must have two years of industrial training experience.

Application Process:
Prospective students are required to visit www.ogharapoly.edu.ng to fill out the ND, HND, or Weekend Application Form. A non-refundable application fee of ₦10,000 is to be paid online via debit card through Interswitch. Candidates are expected to print and submit two copies of the online acknowledgement form.
Screening Exercise:
The date for the screening exercise will be announced in due course. Candidates must bring along the following for the screening:
JAMB result slip (for ND applicants)
ND result (for HND applicants)
O’Level result(s)
Two recent passport photographs
Certificate of Local Government of origin
Birth certificate or sworn declaration of age
Two copies of the online acknowledgment slip
All candidates must also ensure they upload their O’Level results to the JAMB portal and select Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara as their first choice institution.
