Speaking during the brief ceremony, Izeze stated that his involvement in politics and public service has always been geared toward the development of communities and the people.

“Over the years, I have done my best to represent the interests of the state, my local government, and my community, all in pursuit of growth and development.

“At Asaba, I strive to attract development to Ughelli South, Ughievwen, and the Oginibo community. I do not waste time on conflict or unnecessary arguments.

“Anyone who wants to fight should take it up with God, for I am like the proverbial palm tree planted by the riverside.

“I do not oppress others or take what belongs to them. I believe in equity, fairness, and justice. Let everyone receive what is theirs, just as I hope to receive what is mine unhindered.

“Everyone engages in politics for their own interests. My interest is the development of Oginibo and the empowerment of our youth through education, skill acquisition, and employment opportunities.

“Over time, I have never considered political affiliation when assisting anyone from Oginibo, Ughievwen, Ughelli South, or other parts of the state. Once you are qualified, I will do all I can to support you,” Izeze said.

The works commissioner added that he has been supporting party officials in the local government area with monthly stipends and intends to continue doing so after the APC congress is held.
