The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced that it will be performing maintenance work on a key power transformer at the Kukwaba Transmission sub-station in Abuja.
Mrs. Ndidi Mbah, the General Manager for Public Affairs, shared this information in a statement on Saturday.
The maintenance work is set to take place from 9 am to 4 pm.
“We want to let the public know that our maintenance team will be carrying out scheduled work on the 60 mega volt ampere transformer at Kukwaba on Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm.

“Due to this maintenance, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will not be able to supply electricity to some areas, including Wuye, Utako, and parts of Jabi, as well as several important locations like Idu Railway station, the EFCC office, FMC, Baze University, Nile University, Coca-Cola, Citec, Idu Industrial Area, Kuchigoro, and Karomajiji for about seven hours.
“Once the maintenance is completed, power will be restored to these areas,” the statement said.
