On Saturday, Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade transformed her WAFCON victory into a heartfelt gesture of appreciation by visiting the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Ajibade presented her Women’s Africa Cup of Nations medal to General Overseer, Pastor Daniel Olukoya and his wife, acknowledging their spiritual influence on her path to continental success.
The 25-year-old not only played a crucial role in leading the Super Falcons to a remarkable achievement, winning 10 out of 13 editions, but she was also named the WAFCON 2024 Woman of the Tournament.

Having previously played for FC Robo, she guided the Falcons to their LaDecima victory and was recognized as the Tournament’s Most Valuable Player, positioning herself as a strong contender for the Women’s Player of the Year award in December.
From the start of the tournament to the final match, she remained resilient, even when faced with challenges.
