The leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye will lead a nationwide prayer gathering aimed at bringing help to Nigeria’s struggling economy.
This initiative was shared during a press conference in Lagos on June 28.
Adeboye’s assistant, Pastor Dele Balogun announced that the church’s upcoming thanksgiving service in July 2025, named “Divine Intervention,” will focus on praying for economic recovery and the overall progress of the nation.
The event will take place at the RCCG headquarters in Oyingbo, Lagos.
This call for prayer comes as many Nigerians are currently facing serious economic difficulties, such as rising prices, job losses, and high costs of living.

Pastor Adeboye emphasized that although the country is experiencing tough times, faith, togetherness, and positive thinking can lead to change.
He stated, “Our country, like many others, is facing challenges, but these situations are not too big for God to handle. With strong faith, we can overcome these difficulties.”
He encouraged everyone to stay hopeful and use uplifting language to inspire both personal and national change.
Additionally, the church has organized a special prayer team to focus on important national issues over the second half of the year, including agriculture, environmental concerns, and climate change.
