Kano State has directed all primary and post- primary schools in the state to proceed for the Eid-el-Kabir break from Wednesday, June 4, 2025 to Sunday, June 15, 2025.
According to a statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the state Ministry of Education, Balarabe Kiru, parents and guardians of students in boarding schools are to pick up their wards by the early hours of Wednesday, June 4, 2025, and to resume on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
Kiru also explained that all other aspects of the 2024/2025 academic calendar including the stipulated public holidays remain valid.

While thanking parents and guardians for their support to the ministry, Kiru quoted the Commissioner of Education, Ali Makoda, as urging them to ensure their children comply with the resumption date.
“I want to use this opportunity to appreciate the usual support and cooperation given to the ministry by the good people of the state and also wish the students and pupils a successful Sallah break,” the statement said.
