At least no fewer than 22 members of the Kano State contingent to the just concluded National Sports Festival in Abeokuta, Ogun State have died following a road crash at Dakastalle Town in Bebeji Local Government Area of the state.
Eyewitnesses said the Toyota coaster bus carrying about 30 members of the state contingent, crashed and fell from the Dakasalle Bridge, which is about 50 kilometres to Kano City.

Chairman of the Kano State Sports Commission, Umar Fagge confirmed the incident, noting that victims have been taken to the Kura General Hospital in Kura Local Government Area of the state.
Those involved in the incident, include athletes, medical personnel and administrators.
