One of such prominent initiative, he discloed, is the Skill to Wealth programme, in collaboration with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), set for launch next week.

The programme will roll out across six geopolitical regions, starting with a pilot involving 1,090 participants (10 from each senatorial district).

The aim is to engage over 1.5 million young individuals, both graduates and non-graduates, similar to the previous Npower model.

The initiative is expected to have an economic impact by furnishing youth with the necessary skills to become both wealth and job creators, thereby alleviating poverty and improving personal well-being.

Training sessions will be conducted throughout the six geo-political zones, established through strong strategic alliances with the NBTE, the ministries of agriculture, trade, industry and investment, and the Digital Bridge Institute.

The programme will concentrate on themes such as agriculture (including production and processing), renewable energy (with a focus on solar installation), and auto mechanics.

The minister said that this initiative transcends mere skill development, as it aims to cultivate a generation of empowered Nigerians ready to launch businesses, create jobs, and drive development from the grassroots level.
