FG receives 90,000 TVET applications in one week - Minister

Education Minister, Tunji Alausa, has announced that over 90,000 applications have been submitted for the Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) programme.

Alausa said the submissions occurred within a week following the launch of the initiative’s application portal.

The minister shared this information through his X account on Tuesday, calling the response an astonishing demonstration of interest in skill enhancement throughout Nigeria.

He mentioned that the ministry was excited by the significant influx of applications for the TVET programme.

The minister advised applicants to ensure that the names on their BVN and NIN correspond to prevent submission delays, while also reassuring Nigerians that the government is addressing various difficulties faced by applicants.

The TVET initiative was officially launched on May 30 with the aim of equipping young people with pertinent skills for independence and improving their job prospects.

Individuals can register with vocational enterprise institutes and skills training centres at http://TVET.education.gov.ng.
