Children's Day: FGC, Bwari Old Girls Association urges children to embrace excellence

The Bwari Old Girls’ Association (BOGA) of the Federal Government College, Bwari, has urged Nigerian children to adopt a life of excellence in all they do.

The association gave the charge as the old students of the college celebrated this year’s Children’s Day with students of the Federal Government Girls College, Bwari, with the theme: “Excellence and enjoyment, my responsibility.”

National President of the association, Olori Stella Ademola Onabanjo, advised children to be their best and make their parents proud.

The school is the alma mater of the present Minister of Women Affairs, Iman Ibrahim.

The event was held at the school premises in Bwari, Abuja.

Also, the President General of the Unity School Association (USOSA), Michael Magaji, in his goodwill message, extended his heartfelt greetings to all children across Nigeria and beyond.

He described children as the heartbeat of the future and the hope of a brighter tomorrow, while encouraging educators, parents, and leaders, to recommit themselves to nurturing a “safe, inclusive, and empowering environment where every child can thrive, learn, and dream without limits.”

He further called for excellence and responsibility in parenting, adding that “I also want to appeal for more responsible and responsive parenting across our country.
“Let’s put all hands on deck to guarantee a healthy future for our children. It all starts from the home.

“Let us continue to invest in quality education, moral values, and mentorship that shape our young ones into responsible, compassionate, and visionary leaders of tomorrow.
