Felix Okagha appointed Technical Field Liaison Officer to Presidency on ICT development

The Presidency has appointed Felix Emonena Okagha as the Technical Field Liaison Officer to the Special Assistant to the President on ICT Development and Digital Innovations.

The appointment was confirmed in a formal letter dated July 8, 2025, and signed by Hon. Tokoni Peter Igoin, the Special Assistant to the President on ICT Development and Digital Innovation. The letter emphasized the federal government’s confidence in Okagha’s ability to deliver impactful results, citing his “qualifications, experience, and precedent” as indicators of the value he will bring to the role.

“With great responsibility and opportunities to contribute to the advancement of our nation’s digital growth, we are confident that you will make a valuable contribution,” the letter read.

As part of his new role, Okagha will support field implementation, innovation advocacy, monitoring and evaluation, and the bridging of gaps between public and private sector efforts in the digital space. His duties will also include contributing to special ICT-related assignments and policy support initiatives driven by the presidency.

The presidency expressed strong belief in his expertise and commitment, noting that “skills in communication, innovation and adaptability will add significant value to our work and mission.”

Felix Emonena Okagha’s appointment is expected to further strengthen efforts toward harnessing technology for national development and underscores the Tinubu administration’s commitment to innovation and digital inclusion.
