The Federal High Court, Abuja, has adjourned the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, until Friday.
The adjournment was made by Justice James Omotosho on Tuesday, to allow for the cross-examination of a prosecution witness by the defence.
The prosecution witness, an agent of the Department of State Services (DSS), shared details about Kanu’s arrest at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Lagos, while speaking behind a protective barrier.

Also, the prosecution played a video showing Kanu being questioned by DSS officials, along with a statement he made back in October 2015.
In that statement, Kanu admitted to founding Radio Biafra in London but explained that he didn’t register the station with the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) because he didn’t think it was necessary.
Kanu justified his actions by saying he is advocating for the rights and freedom of people in the South East, South South, and parts of Benue and Kogi States, insisting that fighting for freedom is a basic human right.
The court also saw four suitcases filled with Kanu’s personal items, which included radio equipment.
These items were accepted into evidence without any objections from Kanu’s lawyer.
