American rapper Tory Lanez has been ordered to pay the legal fees of fellow artist Megan Thee Stallion after he behaved poorly during a legal questioning session.
The session was part of her defamation lawsuit against a blogger named Milagro Gramz.
During a deposition held via Zoom from prison, Lanez reportedly made fun of Megan’s lawyer, interrupted the proceedings, and refused to answer simple questions.
His disruptive behaviour led the judge to impose penalties, including the requirement for Lanez to cover the attorney fees from that session.
Lanez failed to meet a deadline to explain why he shouldn’t face further consequences, prompting the judge to impose additional financial penalties.
Going forward, a magistrate will oversee all future questioning to keep things orderly.

Megan’s legal team is also looking to appoint a special master to supervise upcoming testimonies, and the costs of this will also be on Lanez.
Megan is pursuing this lawsuit against Gramz because she claims the blogger has spread false and harmful information about her mental health and personal life, allegedly with help from Lanez and his father.
This legal struggle is part of a larger series of events following a shooting incident in 2020, which resulted in Lanez being convicted for his role in the incident where Megan was injured.
This recent ruling adds to the list of legal challenges Lanez is currently facing.
