Sports director charges Adamawa male, female handball teams to win tourney

The Adamawa State Sports Council Director, Mr. Daniel Ahmed, has charged the male and female handball teams, featuring in the national handball competition in Abia State to win the tournament.

Addressing the players and officials of the state’s Under-12, and Under-15 male and female handball teams in Yola, encouraged the players to give their best, be good ambassadors of the state, and be disciplined throughout the competition.

Ahmed expressed his confidence in the young athletes, urging them to showcase their talents, and determination on the national stage.

“You are not just representing yourselves; you are carrying the hopes and pride of Adamawa State. This is your moment to shine, to demonstrate the hard work and dedication you have put into your training,” he said.

The director emphasized the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience, reminding the players that challenges are part of the journey to success.

The male and female teams have undergone intensive training sessions over the past few weeks, under the guidance of experienced coaches.

The coaching staff expressed optimism about the players’ readiness, citing their improved skills and teamwork as key strengths.

The national handball competition, scheduled to take place in Umuahia, Abia State, will feature teams from across the country, competing in various age categories.
