Shettima will meet with leaders from around the world to discuss how to improve coffee production in Nigeria and strengthen the country’s efforts to ensure food security. In addition to the main events, Shettima will attend various smaller gatherings designed to showcase real-life examples of improving food systems, encourage sharing of knowledge, and build partnerships. One of these smaller events includes discussions on how public finance, trade, and responsible investments can help accelerate progress in food transformation.

Nkwocha mentioned that Shettima’s delegation has three main goals: to position Nigeria as a leader in reforming food systems in Africa, to build international partnerships that align with Nigeria’s own goals, and to promote a private sector-driven approach to transforming food systems on the continent.

This summit is organized in collaboration with the United Nations and the governments of Ethiopia and Italy. After participating in these important discussions and activities at the summit, Vice-President Shettima is expected to return to Nigeria.
