#RigandDIE2027 trends on X as Charly Boy tells Nigerians to oppose rigging

#RigandDie2027 is gaining attention on X (formerly known as Twitter) after popular singer, Charly Boy, spoke out about the need for Nigerians to take a stand against election rigging.

Charly Boy, whose real name is Charles Oputa, expressed his desire for citizens to adopt a new approach to protect their votes in the 2027 general elections.

He urged Nigerians to actively work towards changing the current government, stating that things might get worse before they get better.

He criticized the current administration of President Bola Tinubu, saying that the level of corruption is much higher than in the previous government of the late Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking in an interview with Jay On-Air, Charly Boy said: “The corruption we see now is 10 times worse than what we experienced before. What matters to me is whether our votes will count in 2027.

“How can we remove these corrupt leaders? It’s not just about whether one person is worse than another; people from all backgrounds are involved in this corruption.

“I’m hopeful that we’ll see a movement like ‘#RigandDie2027’ in 2027. It might get rough before things improve.”
