The House of Representatives member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency of Delta State, Rep. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has expressed confidence that the 2025 budget presented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will steer Nigeria toward progress and restoration.
Speaking during an interview with members of the National Assembly New Media Forum, Rep. Ukodhiko emphasised that while the budget holds significant promise, its true impact will only be clear after a comprehensive review by the National Assembly.
“The budget as presented by President Tinubu holds significant promises. While it’s too early to fully assess the details, we trust that it will drive the positive changes needed for our people,” he said.
Acknowledging the economic hardship currently faced by Nigerians, Rep. Ukodhiko commended Tinubu’s tough decisions, describing them as necessary steps to ensure the nation’s survival.
He stressed that a strong and determined leadership is essential during such challenging times.

“We need a determined and focused leader to guide us through these difficulties. If such decisions are not made, the country may face further decline,” he explained.
Despite concerns raised by some members of the public over the budget’s provisions, Rep. Ukodhiko expressed optimism about its potential to act as a catalyst for Nigeria’s economic recovery.
“The president’s commitment to restoring Nigeria is clear. I believe this budget will be a catalyst for recovery,” he affirmed.
The lawmaker urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and patient, trusting that the long-term benefits of the budget will outweigh current challenges.
