Prominent Nigerian cleric, Prophet Isa El-Buba, has issued a passionate call for national unity in the face of escalating violence and terrorism that continue to claim the lives of Nigerian soldiers. In a viral video circulating online, El-Buba expressed deep sorrow over the growing number of fallen military personnel, many of whom are dying in the line of duty while combating Boko Haram insurgents and Fulani militias across the country.

Speaking from Plateau State, the outspoken prophet described the situation as heartbreaking, noting that soldiers are seen mourning their comrades with rifles in hand, an image that reflects the tragic cost of Nigeria’s prolonged battle against terror. According to El-Buba, the alarming scale of terrorist activities suggests the involvement of powerful sponsors and a lack of adequate governmental response.

He directly called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to empower the military with the resources and support needed to restore peace and security. El-Buba criticized political leaders for ignoring the nation’s suffering while pursuing personal interests, insisting that citizens must rise with a collective voice to demand accountability and decisive action.

“Our soldiers are dying like chickens,” he declared. “We must stop tolerating a government that turns a blind eye to our pain. The voices of Nigerians are the weapons we need to insist on justice and security. We cannot afford to be silent anymore.”

El-Buba urged Nigerians to take inspiration from Burkina Faso’s young leader, Ibrahim Traoré, who has become a symbol of resistance and national defense in the fight against extremism. He emphasized that only through unity and sustained pressure can Nigeria break free from the grip of terrorism and bloodshed.

As insecurity continues to ravage parts of the country, the cleric’s bold message has resonated widely, sparking conversations online and offline about the urgent need for a renewed national commitment to end terrorism, protect Nigerian troops, and safeguard the country’s future.
