Police, army preach peace in 2 warring communities in Edo
The Edo State Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, alongside the Commander of the Nigerian Army 4 Brigade, Brig. Gen. Ebenezer Oduyebo on Friday, July 25, visited Ahor and Uselu communities currently embroiled in a boundary dispute.

The visit was part of proactive security measures aimed at preventing the boundary dispute from degenerating into violence.

During the engagement, Agbonika and the army commander met with traditional rulers, youth leaders, and other key community stakeholders from both Ahor and Uselu.

The leaders used the platform to advocate for peaceful coexistence, urging residents to exercise restraint and allow the appropriate government authorities to handle the final resolution of the boundary issue.

Agbonika emphasised the impartial role of security agencies in such matters, assuring that ongoing surveillance and deployments will be sustained to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
