Plateau United extends unbeaten run in Aba as Niger Tornadoes wins

Enyimba Football Club was held by Plateau United to a 1-1 draw at the Enyimba city stadium in Aba on Saturday.

The match officiated by Jelili Ogunmuyiwa saw both teams battling to take dominance of the game.

In the 28th minute, V.C Mbaoma finally broke the deadlock to put Enyimba ahead. The game continued with both teams unable to find the back of the net until the end of a terrific first half.

In the second half, 19 minutes to stoppage time, Plateau United equalized through Austin Opara to smash the envisaged victory of the Finidi George’s men, The Trumpet gathered.

This draw by Plateau United, a club yet to lose a game after it lost 2-1 to Wikki Tourists at the Gombe Township Stadium on January 23, 2022, has extended its NPFL unbeaten run to 10 matches.

Elsewhere, Niger Tornadoes defeated Remo Stars 1-0 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna to secure maximum points.

The home team got its goal in the 4th minute through a penalty and successful kept the visitors on check having last won a league match against Sunshines Stars on February 16.
