The Ebonyi state chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Stanley Okoro Emegha, has alleged that the opposition parties are behind the burning of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in the state.
Emegha said this on Monday while speaking to newsmen in Abakaliki. He called on security agencies to bring the culprit to book over the setting ablaze of INEC office at Iboko the headquarters of Izzi Local government area.
He stated that before the APC’s kick-off campaign last week, some big weights of the Opposition parties have joined the fold stating that more are warming up to join.

Unidentified hoodlums had in the early hours of Monday set the entire building of INEC ablaze.
Although no casualties were recorded from the attack, the main building and all the movable and immovable items inside as gathered were destroyed.
These include 340 ballot boxes, 130 voting cubicles, 14 electric power generators, large water storage tanks, assorted office furniture and fixtures and yet to be determined quantities of Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs).
