Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has said that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, remained the best choice to represent the good people of Abia south senatorial zone in the upper chamber come 2023.

The body, described the outgoing Senator, representing Abia South zone, Senator Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe as an Igbo leader whose time has come to an end, in the red chambers and deserves to leave now the ovation is loudest.

It started that Ndigbo promise to recommend Sen. Abaribe for a Federal appointment in the next political dispensation if he voluntarily withdraws from the race for Okezie Ikpeazu in 2023.

Ohanaeze in a statement by its president -General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, made this known when he received the leadership of the Abia south cultural organization, the Ukwa Ngwa Professionals in Diaspora in his residence in Ntighauzor, Obingwa, Abia state on Monday.

Isiguzoro maintained that some political elites from Abia North planted their son Enyi Abaribe as a political mole to disgracefully retire him from active politics with heartbreaking defeat that is staring at his face, through an unpopular political party in Abia state.

“It’s not late for Sen. Abaribe to save his remaining political value by withdrawing from the contest and support Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, who is more popular and diplomatic to attract more federal presence and projects to the good people of Abia South senatorial zone “.

Wogu, urge Ohanaeze Ndigbo scribe, who is from Abia South Senatorial zone to urge Senator Abaribe to emulate Senator T A Orji who volunteered to quit the Senate after 8 years and allow Ukwa Ngwa people to experience a more diplomatic representation rather than his antagonistic approach to issues.
