Voting begins for maiden consumer value awards
Online voting for the inaugural Consumers Value Awards began on April 1, 2022 with over 100 products nominated for selection in the maiden edition.
The award, a quarterly online programme aimed at recognising outstanding contribution of Nigerian entrepreneurs and companies across all sectors of the economy, debuted with the recent unveiling of a website to gauge consumers’ experiences The Trumpet gathered.
Hosted by Consumer Value Broadcasting (CVB), the Consumers Value Awards will serve as a way of recognising
consumer experiences, as a vehicle for distinguishing leading products, services and companies worthy of
consumers’ money.
Speaking on the nomination and voting, Managing Director of CVB, Akonte Ekine, said: “The awards, which feature over 30 categories covering corporate organizations to technology entrepreneurs and inventors, is intended to acknowledge the commitment of brands to innovation, superior customer service and excellence, and they are purely decided by public vote within a three-month voting phase.”
Some of the categories covered include banking, telecommunication, beverages, aviation, Milk, construction, Cooking Oil, FMCG, Logistics, Oil and Gas, Telecoms Infrastructure, Internet Service Providers and Oral care products, among others.

“The voting process requires consumers to visit https://consumersvalueawards.com/votes and vote for their
favorite brands based on their experiences, but they can only vote once in each category,” Akonte added.
The voting for the second quarter of 2022 voting commenced on Friday, April 1, 2022 and ends on June 30, 2022 at 12 midnight, as Consumers Value Broadcasting assured of commitment to enlisting mass awareness of consumers to their rights as consumers.
