United will return to glory days – Ronaldo
Old Trafford is home to Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined the club for a second time in 2019, netting 24 goals that qualified him as the highest goalscorer for Red Devils in all competitions this season.
The 37-year-old performance during the season ensured the club snapped victories in certain fixtures [a hat trick against Norwich] to register maximum points eventually under Ralf Rangnick.
However, to the end of Rangnick’s rein, the club now parade a new coach who is determined to return Manchester United to the glory days of Sir Alex Ferguson. In doing so, Erik ten Hag plans to rejig the squad to usher in a new breed of players.
Ten Hag believes that to actualise this dream, the importance of key players like Portuguese Ronaldo can not be overemphasised which he affirmed during his maiden press briefing at Manchester United.

Meanwhile, silverware-seeking Ronaldo in his second spell at Old Trafford is committed to United and harps on the need to return the club to its glory days.
He said, “It’s still my motivation to carry on working hard, to still love the passion for the game, and of course, Manchester and my teammates help me all the way so I have to appreciate all the people who help Cristiano.
“It’s always nice to score goals for this club. When it is a hat trick it’s even more [nice].
“But the most important thing for me is to try to win the games and try to win some championship or some cup but I believe that Manchester will be where they belong. Sometimes it takes time, but I still believe,” he added.
The Trumpet reports that Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 142 goals and featured 330 times in all competitions for Manchester United. He has covered a total of 25,534 minutes on the pitch for the Red Devils while committing two straight Red card fouls and 47 Yellow cards’.
