One killed as security operatives repel attack on Dangote Refinery in Lekki

Security operatives have firmly repelled an attempt by suspected hoodlums to vandalize Dangote’s 650,000 BPD Integrated Refinery in Lekki, Lagos, leading to the death of one of the attackers.
This incidence is on the heels of the rising spate of attacks on major infrastructures in the country, the most recent being the attack on the Kaduna rail track, which left many people dead and others wounded.
The Lagos State Police operatives who foiled the Refinery’s power installations vandalization attempt said the armed hoodlums came in through the lagoon The Trumpet gathered.
It was however reported that one of the vandals was shot dead while others escaped with bullet wounds.
The Dangote Refinery is Nigeria’s panacea to the incessant challenge of petroleum product availability across the country and it is due to commence full operations in the third quarter of the year.
