Kebbi governor, orders immediate payment of security allowances

Governor Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, of Kebbi State, has ordered the immediate payment of all outstanding security allowances.

Before the inauguration of the incumbent governor, security personnel spread across the state, as noticed by The Trumpet, were being owned several months’ allowances.

Piqued by the development, the governor, during an interactive session with media men shortly after a security council meeting which took place in the state capital, directed that all allowances be immediately cleared.

He vowed to work round the clock to ensure that allowances meant for secure personnel posted to crisis areas of the state are as well settled with immediate effect.

The governor who seeks the full support of the security operatives in the state, also pledges to extend the much-needed olive branches to them.

With all hands on deck, he was optimistic that the security challenges bedevilling the state, especially the Southern parts of the state, would soon be a thing of the past.

He was also observed to have admonished the security agencies on the need for them to redouble their efforts to compel those making life unbearable for the people to relocate from the state or seek alternative means of surviving.

The present administration under the watch of the incumbent state governor,
he said would give premium to security, stating that “no society will record meaningful development in an unsecured environment.”
