APC holds parallel governorship primaries in Ebonyi

Chief Elias Mbam, former Chairman, Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), has won a parallel governorship primary election under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ebonyi State.

He polled a total of 741 votes to defeat his closest rival, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Francis Ogbonnaya Nwufuru, who got 7 votes while Julius Ali Ucha who came third got only 4 votes. The parallel governorship primary took place at Mbam’s campaign office at Mile 50, in Abakaliki. Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon. Francis Ogbonnaya Nwufuru, has emerged the winner of another parallel governorship primary election which was held at Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, Abakaliki.

The Speaker got a total of 743 votes to defeat his closest rival, Mrs Rosemary Ofoke who pulled 63 votes; Julius Ali Ucha got 22 votes; Elias Mbam got 10 votes while Edward Nkwegu, who came fourth got only 8 votes.
