Manchester Youngster, Anthony Elanga Rises to Prominence at Old Trafford

Manchester United youngster Anthony Elanga has risen to prominence recently at Old Trafford.
Elanga who is a player from the United’s academy has found himself promoted to the first-team playing all through January in Premier League games under the interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
In his first game under Rangnick, coming as a substitute against Crystal Palace, he performed brilliantly and this may have earned him his place in the senior squad where he featured for the team throughout the January fixtures.

Elanga, 19, son of a former Cameroon international, Joseph Elanga, was spotted by the Red Devils when he moved to Manchester with his family in 2013. However, he joined the club’s football academy.
The young forward according to the United stats, in the 2018/2019 U18 side, scored three goals and provided five assists with a follow up of 10 goals involvement in the next season which earned him Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award.
Elanga, a graduate from the club’s academy, has proven to be capable of fitting into the first-team squad following the footsteps of Marcus Rashford.
