Umahi flag-off economic activities at Ebonyi shopping mall

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state, on Thursday, officially flag-off economic activities at Everyday Supermarket at the newly built Shopping Mall complex in Abakaliki.

Speaking at the event, Umahi said the idea behind the construction of the edifice was to stimulate economic activities and create jobs for citizens in the long run.

Umahi said the Shopping Mall which has provided at least three hundred jobs for a start aims to offer two thousand job opportunities to Ebonyi people at full capacity.

The Governor called on the people to take full advantage of the commencement of economic activities to do their yuletide shopping at the mall.

Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of the Everyday Supermarket, assured that they were in the Mall to provide the best of services to the teeming Ebonyi populace. He hinted that fifty people have already been employed by the supermarket and many Ebonyi people will be considered for supplies.

Governor Umahi and his entourage after the official flag off took their time to shop from the rich bouquet of commodities at the Supermarket.
