Manchester United have told Chelsea that the Portuguese forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, will not be leaving Old Trafford this summer for Stamford Bridge.
In recent news making headlines in England, the Manchester United player’s representative, Jorge Mendes, was reported to have met with the Blues co-owner Todd Boehly last week.
Although it was alleged that their discussion would have been centred on a possible switch of Ronaldo to the West London club this summer, United who are still indecisive on signing new players to Old Trafford will be adamant to honour the deal.
Recently, Ronaldo criticised the Red Devils’ floppiness in the summer transfer market and confided in his close circle according to a Spanish report that he would leave the club should they fail to inject fresh legs into the squad for next season’s campaign.
Arising from the above, there are insinuations that the former Juventus hitman who is also linked to return to the Italian league giants, may leave Manchester United following the failure of the club to qualify for a European clubs’ tourney next season.

Remarkably at 37, Ronaldo still has a lot in stock to offer in any club’s attack and recorded the highest goals for Red Devils in all competitions last season to win the revered club’s award, Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year Award.
More so, the Mirror reported last week that Mendes was in talks with Bayern Munich for Ronaldo to switch to Allianz Arena but a close source in Old Trafford rebutted the move saying United will not honour a deal.
The source explained that the new manager Erik ten Hag last month, included the Portuguese national team captain as a key part of his plans for next season which the club will strictly protect to see it stay that way.
“Cristiano is not for sale,” the source told Mirror.
“We want and fully expect him to be with us next season,” the source stated.
Reportedly, Ronaldo’s second spell in England saw United break the bank
to hand him a two-year contract worth £500,000-a-week last summer to
bring the club back to its glory days.
While Ronald has kept his end of the bargain, having scored 24 goals to
become the club’s highest for the Red Devils last season, United are in
a rigmarole to bolster the club squad to complement the striker’s
effort.
