Ronaldo honours late son with ‘100th United goal’ against Arsenal

Manchester United talisman Cristiano Ronaldo paid tribute to his son after scoring his 100th goal for Manchester United from close range against Arsenal on Saturday afternoon at the Emirates stadium.

It was an emotional moment for the striker who pointed to the sky and said a prayer in memory of his son, making the sign of the cross across his chest afterwards.

Prior to the match, there were rumours that Ronaldo would not be able to play in the match going by his emotional state after his son’s death but Ragnick selected him to lead Manchester United’s attack against the Gunners.

During the game, Arsenal fans rose to observe a round of applause in honour of his son who died tragically during birth to condole with the United striker.
