Rohr drags NFF to FIFA, demands $1million compensation

Gernot Rohr has dragged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) before the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) over a contractual breach The Trumpet gathered.

The former Super Eagles coach who was sacked last year by the NFF is demanding the sum of $1million according to Soccernet as compensation.

Both parties, after being heard by the tribunal set up by FIFA last week, await the verdict of the apex world football governing body.

NFF, after the sack of Rohr in December last year, 2021, agreed to pay him until December 2022 when his contract originally ends.

However, the former Technical Adviser of the Nigeria senior men’s national team, not satisfied with the terms offered by the NFF, insists on an additional sum for damages.

As NFF awaits the verdict of FIFA, the nation’s football governing body is in conflict with the Sports Ministry over its choice of head coach Jose Poseiro for the Super Eagles.
