Raphinha lands Spain for Barcelona’s medical

Leeds United and Brazilian winger, Raphinha has moved to Camp Nou for his medical after Barcelona and the English club reached an agreement yesterday.

Raphinha’s switch to Xavi Hernandez’s side has been on the radar for a while with speculations linking him to a move to Stamford Bridge while Arsenal observed at a closed distance. The Trumpet Gathered

The Brazilian, who was an integral part of head coach Jesse Marsch’s plans for last season’s campaign in the English Premier League, will become the third player in the summer to switch allegiance to the Blaugrana after Franck Kessié and Andreas Christensen joined from AC Milan and Chelsea respectively.

According to emerging reports from Catalonia, the Brazilain winger has already landed in Josep Tarradella airport in the company of his girlfriend, mother and relatives after the deal reportedly worth €50m plus €7m on add-ons was brokered between both clubs.

Should Raphinha completes his medical in Barcelona, he would pen a five-year contract that will keep him in Camp Nou until June 2027.

Meanwhile, before the arrival of the Brazilian who netted eleven times from 35 Premier League appearances for the Whites, Barcelona put the necessary security apparatus in place to control the crowd at the private flight terminal of the airport.

Reportedly, Barcelona went beyond crowd control to stop the media from gaining access for interviews or photographing the player the moment he landed at the terminal.
