Police arrest man for allegedly impregnating own daughter

Operatives of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested a middle-aged man, identified as Sunday Udoh, for allegedly impregnating his own daughter He was arrested inside a community hospital at Ile Oluji Town, the headquarters of the Ile-Oluji/Oke Igbo Local Government Area of the state while trying to abort the pregnancy.
The state Police Command Spokesperson, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the arrest to The Trumpet, saying that the operatives of the Command acted on intelligence reports gathered within the community over the movement of the man with his daughter.

According to the police image maker, the suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), gender unit. During the investigation, the daughter told the police that the father has been having sexual intercourse with her for a very long time, which led to the pregnancy.
