Oyerinde emerges new DG of NECA
Following the death of its former Director-General, the late Timothy Olawale early in the year, the Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA) has announced the appointment of Adewale Oyerinde as its new Director-General effective August 1, 2022.
NECA is the umbrella organisation of members of the Organised Private Sector (OPS) and the leading voice of businesses in the country.
Before his appointment, Oyerinde, who was Deputy Director and Head of Membership Service of the association, joined NECA in 2010 and has worked in various capacities in the Socio-economic and Labour Affairs Department, as well as the Learning and Development of the association.
Before he joined NECA, he worked as Human Resources analyst at Rosequeen Consulting in 2005 and later joined Nagpde Group of companies with interests in healthcare, logistics, chemicals and allied products and construction, among others as Head of Human Resources Administration.

He has over 16 years experience in industrial, human resources and administration, business development, stakeholder management, key areas of employers, federation and management of business membership organisations.
He is a Human Resources (HR) thought leader, an International Labour Organisation (ILO) trained master trainer and also United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) trained International Standards Organisation (ISO) 1400-2015 lead auditor.
He holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the University of Lagos. He is an alumnus of the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM).
