Oshiomhole joins APC presidential race

The number of aspirants jostling for the presidential ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has swelled as former national chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole on Wednesday in Abuja declared his intention to run.
Oshiomhole who has been linked with interest in the Edo North senatorial district contest proved bookmakers wrong when he told his supporters at the Area 10 Cultural Center, Abuja venue of his declaration that his administration will put an end to incessant industrial action in the nation’s ivory tower.

He said he will be more concerned about repositioning the ailing economy while striving to return Nigeria to the path of sustainable growth, creating jobs and facilitating qualitative education and healthcare.
“My presidency would focus on policy issues that would deliver jobs, and prosperity for Nigerians. We will, with issues of insecurity, assemble a cream of centre economist to fix the economy: Together we will create a prosperous and secure Nigeria,” said the former governor of Edo State.
