Ondo Govt bans night club, motorcycle operation

Ondo State Government has banned night club and motorcycles operating at night as part of measures to rid the state of criminal persons and groups.

The Special Adviser on Security matters to the governor, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, in a statement in Akure said the government has ordered the resumption of enforcement of the Ban on Motorcycle Operations outside 6 am to 6 pm, Night Club activities beyond midnight.

Adeleye who doubled as the Amotekun Commander said the government also banned the use of vehicles with tinted glasses without a permit.

He added that “All Security Agencies are hereby enjoined to impound all such motorcycles and vehicles while the owners or riders would be prosecuted.

“The Government of Ondo State encourages all vehicle and motorcycle owners to register their vehicles/motorcycles as defaulters would be made to face the full wrath of the law accordingly.

He said the Governor Oluwarotimi-led administration is determined to ensure the protection of lives and property of the good people of the state. remains a top priority.
