Okowa, Irabor, Omo-Agege, Others for Unveiling of 200 Most Outstanding Deltans

Barring any last-minute change in plan, the trio of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State, Gen. Lucky Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff(CDS), and Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, Deputy President of the Senate, are among dignitaries expected to grace the public presentation and launch of the book, “200 Most Outstanding Deltans”.

Also expected at the occasion are Mr. Godwin Emefiele, Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Speaker, Delta House of Assembly, amongst others.

According to a statement issued by the planning committee, royal fathers, including HRM, Obi (Dr.) Emmanuel Efeizomor, the Obi of Owa, HRM, Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), Orodje of Okpe, Obi (Prof.) Chike Edozien, the Asagba of Asaba, and religious leaders such as Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, former President of Christian Association of Nigerian (CAN), and Bishop Nicholas Okoh, a former Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, are equally being expected at the historic event.

The statement signed by Pastor Powell Tos also noted that “all is now set for the occasion and by the grace of God, we expect a glorious outing.”

The book, “200 Most Outstanding Deltans”, is a 228-page compendium that chronicles and celebrates the spectacular accomplishments of 200 nominees drawn from 20 categories of human endeavours. Its unveiling and launch are slated for Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba.

A former Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Alexander Ogomudia, will chair the event billed to commence at 11 am.
