
Nigeria women’s cricket team lost for the second consecutive time after Kenya defeated them on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the Gahanga Cricket Stadium in the ongoing eighth edition of Kwibuka T20 in Kigali.
The Female Yellow Green started the tourney on a good note defeating Brazil, Germany and Botswana in the process but fell to Uganda and Kenya in to drop the percentage of the games won to 60 per cent.
According to the results from the match, Kenya whose player, Qieentor Abel was named the player of the match with 47 off 50, defeated Nigeria with 42 runs to defend their 119. However, Nigeria will endeavour to shrug off the defeat to rediscover their winning streak when they face Tanzania tomorrow, June 15, at the same venue.

Meanwhile, the Female Yellow Green in their preceding encounter with Uganda on Sunday were defeated by 9 wickets to concede their first defeat in the tourney.
Following the defeat, head coach of the team, Leke Oyede praised the Female Yellow Greens adding that they stuck to his instruction. Though he promised to win the match against Kenya, the team fell by 42 runs to the East African female cricket team.
