The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick has ruled out the option of contesting for a third term citing family reasons.

Pinnick, despite being qualified and eligible to run for the office for the third time, decided to heed the call of his family to take a bow at the end of his tenure.

According to the sports administrator, who is also a member of the FIFA council, he has put in his best in the development of football for this country and regrettably, would take a bow to attend to his family’s needs, The Trumpet gathered.

In an interview on Arise TV, he said, “First am l eligible to run? Yes, I’m eligible to run based on our statutes.

“Do I want to run at this moment? It’s a no-no because my family says so at the moment.
