Oba of Benin Tasks Nigerians on Unity, Development

His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, N’Ogidigan, the Oba of Benin, has stated that the nation’s multiple problems can be tackled if Nigerians resolved to unite and agree to work together as one indivisible entity.

He was speaking while playing host to Chief Dele Momodu, the Publisher, of Ovation International Magazine, who was in the Palace to seek the support of the traditional ruler for his 2023 presidential ambition on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Oba noted that Nigeria is not the only country battling with myriad of issues, assuring that the traditional institution will do all it can to eradicate the problems or at least reduce their effects.

He hailed Chief Momodu for sustaining the Ovation International magazine over the years and maintaining the high standard that the magazine is known for.
Earlier, Chief Momodu told the monarch that his desire to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 is borne out of his dream to unite the country and save it from total collapse as things are presently not functioning properly.
He disclosed that his years of traversing the globe and having engagements with world leaders have exposed him to the rigours of governance as well as positioned him in good stead to serve Nigeria better.

In a show of magnanimity, the monarch had a group photograph with Chief Momodu and some members of his entourage.
