National Orientation Agency (NOA) in a bid to support the growth of indigenous industries in Nigeria and create awareness of locally made products, is organising a 2-day exhibition programme to sensitize the public on sustainable patronage of made in Nigeria products.

The exhibition tagged, “Patronize Made in Nigeria Products and Services”, which is slated to take place at Forecourt, NOA Headquarters, Block B, Old Federal Secretariat, Area 1, Garki, Abuja, will be declared open today, 29th March, 2022.

According to the NOA, Nigerians must be sensitized on the need to support local producers and manufacturers by exploiting the usage of locally made goods to help grow the nation’s GDP which is one of the prime focuses of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

Meanwhile, “The Trumpet“, an emerging print and online media brand and an ardent promoter of made in Nigeria goods and services, partners with the NOA to help showcase the various brands and the qualities that lie therein.

According to the Managing Director of The Trumpet, Endurance Edafewotu, there is a need for Nigerians to be sensitized through massive awareness campaigns to patronize the local manufacturers and producers to help boost the Nigerian economy.

He said: “Nigerians must be aware that there is a need to support our local producers to help develop and sustain our local industries in business.

“Our GDP can only grow better if Nigerians are oriented that we can only become self-sufficient when we tap into the usefulness of our local resources.

“Look at China today, they have grown as one of the countries with the biggest global economy owing to its re-orientation to exploit its local resources to become self-sufficient.

“Nigerians must be put on the know that no country progresses arithmetically or geometrically if it depends largely on imported commodities to satisfy the needs of her citizens,” he added.

The exhibition expected to end on Wednesday, will host a lot of local producers around federal capital territory and neighbouring states.

It is noteworthy to asseverate that ‘The Trumpet‘ will be reporting live from the venue.
