NACCIMA mourns victims of Kaduna train, airport attacks

The Nigeria Associations of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), has lamented the bandits attacks carried out at the Kaduna International airport and passenger train attack recorded recently.
This fact is contained in a NACCIMA’s media statement signed by the organisation’s Acting Director General, Opeyemi Alaran and made available to The Trumpet in Lagos, adding: “NACCIMA is deeply sad about the attacks and the Loss of innocent lives.
According to the statement, it is with a sense of sadness that our association, NACCIMA reacts to news of bandit attacks on the Kaduna Airport and another on a passenger train.
“Our sense of sadness is for the avoidable loss of lives, for which we commiserate with the family and loved ones of the deceased as well as the humanitarian and economic damage that these attacks have caused.
As these quantifiable losses mount, the association is further disturbed by the increasing connotation that our country is unsafe to do business.

This is extremely concerning given that current economic realities require inflows of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for sustainable economic growth. We advocate yet again for urgent and incisive policy implementation by government at all levels to tackle this issue of insecurity.
NACCIMA is on hand to partner with government to implement innovative solutions based on existing platforms such as the police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), the NACCIMA’s statement concluded.
