Manchester City has agreed to pay Borussia Dortmund striker, Erling Haaland, £500,000 a week to lure the player to Etihad Stadium ahead of next season’s campaign The Trumpet gathered.

If this deal materialises, Haaland will become the highest-paid player in the Premier League.

City have been on the trail of the Norwegian to fill up the void left in its central-striking position since the departure of Sergio Aguero.

The Blues of Manchester, last season, tried to bring in Tottenham’s prolific striker and England captain, Harry Kane, but were unsuccessful.

Having failed to bring in Spurs striker to Manchester, Pep Guardiola has almost finished the entire 2021/2022 season without a central striker for the club.

According to reports, Manchester City have been experiencing stiff competition from Real Madrid and Barcelona who hope to bring the promising striker to Spain.

However, in a recent development according to Sportsmail, the pursuit of Erling Haaland has taken a different twist with Manchester City agreeing personal terms with the player’s representatives.

Manchester City have also agreed to trigger the player’s £63million release clause from Borussia Dortmund.
