An Israeli car assembly firm MIMSHAC Transportation Technologies Ltd located Itu council area of Akwa Ibom state has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Akwa Ibom state council of Nigeria Automobile Association (NATA) for distribution and marketing of oil filters in Akwa Ibom state.
Revealing the partnership deal at the company premises on Saturday, Chief Executive Officer Valentino Okorie said the automobile manufacturing company is expected to produce all sorts of vehicles ranging from salon cars, buses, and heavy-duty vehicles but has commenced production of car oil filters while awaiting the arrival of its last components in the car assembling section.
The CEO of Mimshac Group, Mr Okorie explained that the strategic partnership deal was the company’s way of empowering automobile technicians in the state through a strategic business transaction to ensure they benefit from the distribution of the products in the South-South and South-East region.
He commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for the enabling environment his administration has created which made it possible for the auto firm to make progress in the State.
Okorie disclosed that 72 staff with 81% being Akwa Ibomites were currently working at Mimshac Transportation Technologies Ltd, with plans to employ over 500 when two additional production lines of the oil filter section arrive.

He mentioned that the production of automobiles at the car plant would commence as soon as the twenty Akwa Ibom trainees sent to Israel to understudy vehicle production and assembly return to the country, adding that the number are the ones who would train other Akwa indigenes on the technology transfer.
The Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Research and Documentation, Mr Essien Ndueso who witnessed the MoU deal for the state government lauded the firm for working in line with the industrialization agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel noting that the strategic partnership between the company and automobile Union in the state was laudable.
He said Udom’s vision on job creation is expressed in the factory and charged the company to expedite the process of churning out vehicles produced in Akwa Ibom, as the primary assignment of the factory.
The State Chairman of Automobile Union, Sir Charlie Eka, flanked by members of his executive appreciated the Mimshac team for believing in them, and pledged their commitment towards the content of the MoU.
