Isoko Mirror, ‘Delta Pillar of Development Awards’, Book Launch to hold November 3rd

FONE Media Integrated Ventures, the publishers of Isoko Mirror newspaper, have announced their upcoming awards ceremony, the “Delta Pillar of Development awards,” alongside the launch of a new book named “Isoko Outstanding Personalities.”

The book is penned by the company’s CEO, Dr. Felida Essi.

The combined event is scheduled for November 3rd, 2023, at Mano Hotel and Suites in Oleh, and is expected to draw a range of dignitaries from Delta State and beyond.

In a statement signed by Okworide Simeon, Editor of Isoko Mirror newspaper, Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, the former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, will be a speaker at the event. He will discuss the progression of the Isoko Nation compared to other ethnic groups in Delta State and throughout Nigeria.

The awards aim to motivate the recipients to continue their contributions to the Isoko Nation and inspire others to follow their example. Among the recipients are Chief Dr. Kenneth Idiodi, current president of the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC in Nigeria, and Grand Master and Director of AMORC’s Supreme Board. The late Dr Awoture Eleyae, a prominent sports nationalist, will be posthumously honoured.

The event will be chaired by Dr. Goodnews Agbi, special adviser to the Governor of Delta State on project monitoring and audit. Arch-Bishop Dr. Eric U Emiaso and his wife, Bishop Dr. Rita Emiaso, will serve as the day’s father and mother.

The book “Isoko Outstanding Personalities” features stories of about 178 Isoko individuals, both deceased and living, who have significantly contributed to the advancement of the Isoko Nation. The “Delta Pillar of Development Awards” is a pioneering initiative that highlights the significant contributions made by individuals of Isoko Nation to the broader Delta State.
