Simone Inzaghi’s side, Inter Milan are set to extend the contract of highly courted centre-back, Milan Skriniar, beyond 2023 if offers above €70m are not made by interested clubs.

Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are clubs highly interested in the Slovak who was impressive in the Nerazzurri’s defence last season.

In a report, Sky Sport Italia claimed that Inter Milan will extend Skriniar’s contract should the negotiations with PSG break down, adding that the Nerazzurri will not accept anything less than their targeted offer.

Meanwhile, Les Parisien are looking for a way to round up the deal and would want it finalised at the same amount that saw Achraf Hakimi switched last summer from Inter Milan to Paris, reportedly around €60m plus a €5m add-on.

PSG are not willing to meet the €70m request by Inter Milan which may be a result of the Financial Fair Play rule, reported Sky Sport Italia.

Notwithstanding, Inter Milan are not ready to shift ground on Skriniar and would walk away if anything falls short of their expected offer from Les Parisien.

In another development, French journalist Toni Weeler said that PSG would try to wrap up Skriniar’s deal before the weekend so that he can join the team on their pre-season tour to Japan.

He noted that Luis Campos, PSG Sporting Director is confident that the deal will be completed for the defender who is believed will play at the Parc des Princes in the 2022-23 season.
