Innoson Vehicles Will Be My Official Cars – Soludo

The Anambra State Governor-Elect, Prof. Charles Chukwuemeka Soludo has promised to use Innoson Motors as his official vehicle immediately he takes over from the out-going Governor Willie Obiano.
Soludo who disclosed this on Wednesday, during an interaction with the members of his transition committee, decided to “bring back the zeal of patronising our own”.
Recalling on his campaign promises during the interactive section, he assured the Anambra people of his commitments towards patronising locally made goods.
He said, “Igbo land is one and we must protect it. We want to bring back the zeal of patronising our own. I said it during my campaigns that the official cars of the governor of Anambra State will be Innoson motors.”
The governor-elect added that his wearing of local fabrics known as Akwete is not a coincidence, but to support local firms and make a statement.
He said, “My Akwete dress is not just a dress, it’s a statement. I want to make a statement with it. You know, in the entire South-East, this is the only textile thing alive. This fabric is handmade by women of Akwaete in Abia State.
“The dresses I will wear are those made in our place here. We must protect the things that are made in our place. Something is about to happen in Igboland, and together we will get there.”

Reacting to Soludo’s gesture, the Chairman of IVM Innoson Group of Companies Limited, Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma, thanked the governor-elect for choosing Innoson vehicles as his official cars when he assumes office.
He said, “I am excited about this motivating news and I am ready to partner with your Government to make cars affordable for the people. We believe that with your support, Innoson Vehicles will continue to provide quality service to the people and help make it possible for people to be able to afford a brand new vehicle across Africa.
“On assumption of office, we look forward to welcoming you to the vehicle manufacturing plant to see how far we have come and how your support and patronage will take us to an enviable height,” he added.
