The Nigeria U17 girls (Flamingos) will on Sunday battle Egypt’s U17 girls in the first leg of double-clash qualifiers for FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup third round at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

Flamingos had in the course of the world cup qualifying campaign, defeated the Democratic Republic of Congo 8-0 on aggregate to reach the final round of the qualifiers if they fly past their Egyptian counterparts.

Faith Omilana, Linda Jiwuaku will serve as the goalkeepers while Blessing Sunday, Comfort Folorunsho, Tumininu Adeshina, Olamide Oyinlola, Omamuzo Edafe, Miracle Usani, and Confidence Nwoha were picked as defenders.

The team also comprises Blessing Emmanuel, Taiwo Afolabi, Chidera Okenwa, and Joy Igbokwe as midfielders while Aminat Bello, Mercy Itimi, Alvine Da-Zossu, Anastasia Atume, Opeyemi Ajakaiye, Yetunde Ayantosho and Adaobi Okah serve as forwards.

Meanwhile, the Ivorian match officials appointed by the Confederation of African Football for Sunday’s encounter have arrived in Nigeria; led by Natacha Gérardine Konan (Referee).

The others are Lou Djenan Danielle Ta (assistant referee 1), Ndeko Edwige Appia (assistant referee 2), and Zomadre Sonia Kore (fourth official). The match commissioner is Mervat Hussein Sadig from Sudan).
