Vincente Monte has said he would place a bet to assert that Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez, has signed Kylian Mbappe from Paris.
Monte, an international expert in sports law who a close observant of the Perez’s ways, revealed that the much talked about French player would be on his way to the Santiago Bernabeu by next season The Trumpet gathered.
Mbappe, who has been on media spotlight over this transfer saga, was recently cautioned by French Football Association President, Noël Le Graët, to remain in Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Noël Le Graët opined that the move by Mbappe to Real Madrid may hinder the player from winning the Ballon d’Or owing to certain environmental and footballing factors.
However, Monte, who is abreast with the administrative style of Perez, recalled how the the latter in year 2000, signed the prolific forward, Louis Figo, from arch-rivals Barcelona to Madrid.
He said: “The process was set in motion about three months before the elections.
“Paulo Futre and Jose Veiga, Figo’s agent, called me. Paulo had already asked me before, without telling me about the club or the player, to study whether a player could be signed in a specific way.
“I only found out that it was about Real Madrid and Figo in the hours before the meeting,” he added.
